Senior Quinn Alexis scored six goals as the Saline girls’ varsity lacrosse team defeated Skyline, 13-8, Wednesday at Saline High School.
Playing shorthanded due to injuries, the Hornets started slow, but they led by a goal at halftime. Abby Morton, who scored three goals, opened the second half by winning the draw, going to the goal and scoring just 11 seconds in. The Hornets went on to win big.
Anna LeChard scored twice and Emily Hill and Maddie Potter each scored a goal. Eva Doorlag made eight stops in goal.
Saline opens the playoffs against Plymouth at 7 p.m., May 26 at Canton High School.
