Saline water bill increase

This post expresses the views and opinions of the author(s) and not necessarily that of The Saline Post management or staff.

City council gave no real answers or solutions to Water bill increase at tonight’s council meeting. They changed the due date of current bill till December 1st. We still have to pay this ridiculous bill just have 30 more days to do it. So that means we have to be prepared to pay the next bill 2 months after so really it doesn’t change a damn thing. Please, please don’t stop posting and contacting local media about this issue. Channel 7 Detroit reported on it tonight on the 6 o’clock news…Contact them. The more they hear from us the more likely we will get real answers not political rhetoric! Please come to the next city council meeting in 2 weeks . We need to continue to fight this and not let city government pull the wool over our eyes again. This fight is not over until we get relief from these exaggerated costs. Again…

This is a copy of an email set to Representative Donna Lasinski in Lansing …

After sitting through last night’s Saline Town Hall meeting there is still no definitive answers from city government. There was a State Senator (Jeff Irwin) and representative attending but no concrete information from City or State officials rather just a bunch of pre-election day rhetoric.
Today a significant amount of us in Saline woke up again to very brown water in our homes. This matter is getting much worse each day. We are getting very close to experiencing another Flint water crisis. We can’t drink, shower or cook with our polluted water and we can’t afford to flush it out due to exaggerated sewer rates. How bad does it have to get before we get desperately needed attention from elected officials?
