Alzheimer's Association Volunteers: Support Group Facilitators and Community Educators
Have you been
affected by dementia and want to apply your experience to help others impacted
by a dementia-related disease? Consider volunteering with the Alzheimer's
Association! We are looking for support group facilitators and community
educators.
If you have good
communication skills, are empathetic, and are comfortable facilitating
discussion, consider becoming a facilitator for a dementia caregiver support
group. If you have strong public speaking skills, are comfortable with
PowerPoint, and are passionate about education, consider becoming a community
educator.
Volunteers must be
at least 21, and background checks are required. The Alzheimer's Association
provides training and materials. For more information, please visit
volunteer.alz.org or contact Michelle Phalen at 734.212.5430 or
