Just wondering, how many people in Saline (especially south side) are dealing with the critter invasion? We got an over abundance of rabbits, raccoons, skunks, deer, woodchucks etc. They have decimated our vegetable gardens as well as our flower gardens. This has gotten significantly worse over the last few years. This year is the absolute worst. The city does absolutely nothing towards animal control. The mayor and his administration only care about increased tax revenue. BUILD, BUILD, BUILD. No consideration as to what they are doing to natural habitats that are pushing these animals further and further into neighborhoods. This makes it extremely difficult and frustrating to even try to grow a garden or plant flowers to enhance the environment (pollinators), or beautify our properties which has a positive effect on the entire neighborhood.
This is NOT NATURE AND CERTAINLY NOT THE ANIMALS FAULT! This is our city government’s greed to continue to overdevelop with no regard to environmental impact or added stress to our already failing infrastructure!
Instead of a “lazy river” or a “gathering place” invest taxpayer dollars into ecological conservation and efforts to protect wildlife. The animals were here first, this is their home!
