Ahoy Matey: Saline Fiddlers begin tour at Rogers City Pirate Festival

This post expresses the views and opinions of the author(s) and not necessarily that of The Saline Post management or staff.

The Saline Fiddlers have launched their On the Road Again Tour, and did Saline proud when they played their first gig at the Pirate Festival in Rogers City tonight. The bandstand was at a gorgeous park facing Lake Huron, on a perfect summer day, and was ideal for their return to the tour stage.

The Saline Fiddlers work seamlessly as a team and play music together with tremendous enthusiasm and talent.

The day began at 7am, packing the truck at Liberty School and preparing the caravan, and eventually heading north to Rogers City.

After getting settled at the motel, and an early bird special, by 5pm the Fiddlers were setting up the stage for their headline performance! After a warm and gracious welcome from the mayor, the Fiddlers played two sets of high energy fiddling, dancing, signing, solos, and their signature ensemble numbers. They even told a few pirate jokes!

Tomorrow, it's onward to the July 4th parade in Curtis. We will continue chronicling this seven day tour that will take the Fiddlers to the U.P. for the rest of the tour! Stay tuned for daily updates.
