Happy July 4th from the Saline Fiddlers!

The "On the Road Again" tour has arrived to the U.P.!

On this sweltering independence day, when the mercury topped 90 degrees, the Saline Fiddlers marched a-strummin' in the annual July 4th parade in Curtis, a town surrounded by beautiful inland lakes.

A majority of the Fiddlers withstood the blazing sun to be true crowd pleasers in the noon-time parade. They were the third musical group, on the heels of the Scottish bagpipes and a Caribbean steel drum band. Along the route, many spectators appreciated their musicality and exclaimed "oh, look, fiddlers" with a smile on their faces.

After recovering from the heat, the Fiddlers were back at it in the afternoon, taking the stage as one of the main outdoor attractions. They had the audience clapping and tapping their feet, especially with a marvelous encore performance of Orange Blossom Special.

Tomorrow the group will rest and prepare for three more concerts in the U.P.
