At the End of an Epic Road: Saline Fiddlers Conclude Tour

Tonight was the final performance of the Saline Fiddlers' 2021 tour.

Back in the welcoming town of Curtis, the Fiddlers played to a sold-out show at the Erickson Center for the Arts. The show featured two full sets, and they showcased big ensemble pieces and smaller group numbers.

Highlights included the lively bluegrass tune "Rocky Top," the Irish traditional "Star of the County Down," and an exuberant and rocking encore of "Epic Reel" that truly felt epic. The dancing was sensational and definitely an audience favorite.

Talented improvisers, the Fiddlers adeptly responded to a microphone snafu by telling pirate jokes that one child in the audience called "hilarious."

Earlier in the day, the Fiddlers visited Tahquamenon Falls, exploring the the lower and upper falls, and taking in the beauty of the U.P.

The Fiddlers will continue to play shows this summer, closer to home, most notably in Howell on July 16 for "Concerts for the Courthouse."
