On clawhammer banjo, Allison de Groot has become a significant voice in the traditional, Americana and roots music scenes. Her style is adventurous and grounded, and No Depression writes it “transports the listener to a different plane”.
Nic Gareiss, one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch,” is a singular voice in the realm of dance, music, and the traditional arts. Gareiss’ work draws from many percussive dance practices to weave together a technique facilitating his love of improvisation, clog, flatfoot, and step dance.
Together, they lean into their rhythmic and spontaneous musical connection.
Their latest release ’The Thrill’ included on NPR’s 'Best Roots Music of The Year’ list. https://nicandallison.bandcamp.com/video

I have to commend the Saline City manager and engineer for keeping their cool and for their professionalism during the three hour Mill Pond Dam town hall meeting.
I think what's insulting is that the city is bloating the numbers to bolster their case.
Logically, the dam has no practical use. Of course, it's going to cost more. Of course, there's a level of risk there. Of course, over some period of time, it's going to cost more to maintain than a stream.
Life cycle cost analysis is certainly appropriate when considering new assets, but it may not be as appropriate when evaluating existing assets.
