Foundry Town Survivors return to their hometown Ann Arbor, Michigan on Friday, August 15, 2025, for their Annual Townie Gig at LIVE Nightclub, 102 S. 1st St. Ann Arbor. This no-cover charge event is part of the nationally known “Geezer Happy Hour" as popularized by television host Kelly Ripa and the New York Times.
Joining former Ann Arborites Mark Tomorsky & Tommy Johnsmiller will be local drummer Chip Trombley and guitarist James Bourland. Don’t discount the possible surprise appearance of additional musicians to add to the bedlam.
The group will serve up a mix of guaranteed danceable tunes with a few of their hot originals thrown in for good measure.
The evening begins at 6:30PM (doors open at 6:00PM) and ends at 9:00PM, so save the date and come on down for an evening of hot fun, music and dancing.

Sunny, with a high of 94 and low of 70 degrees. Sunny in the morning, clear overnight.
Nice of the attorneys to clarify this language at this point rather than having the foresight to understand that language should never have been in the agreement to start with!
Perhaps the Township should have sought counsel from an attorney not involved in the original contract negotiations (and perhaps they did - do not know) before changing direction.
Final thought - perhaps the attorney(s) working with the Township on the agreement can provide an explanation as to why that language HAD to be as represented in the final version of the agreement/why protections against exactly what has happened were not put in place.
I’m curious as to why Mr. Marl has announced his reelection intentions, started campaigning and collecting funds, but has not done the paperwork to put his name on the ballot yet?
Marl says he's got his signatures.
Citizens of Saline are finally waking up to all the failures of our current city government. Girbach is bailing (for good reason).
Having sadly been involved in the last few years with the care of two family members after loss of their partners then dealing with settling the estates which is far more time consuming and complex than anticipated, can understand this decision and commend him for prioritizing family.
Sounds as if you have been and are a supporter of Swallow and felt he was good for Saline. Nice to hear. As for the other observations, hopefully some of the turnover, including Girbach deciding not to pursue another term (talk about negative), will prove to produce a more positive environment.
