Whitepine Studios welcomes the Saline Painters Guild to our downtown Saline studio and gallery! The Saline Painters Guild, a group of award winning artists, create with watercolor, oil and acrylic media. They exhibit their masterfully painted artworks at galleries, juried art shows, art fairs and other venues. We are delighted to host their upcoming Fall Exhibition.
The Exhibition will run from October 18th to January 17th. Original paintings, woodcuts, and prints, created by 14 artists, will be on display and offered for sale. An opening reception will be held on Sunday, October 24th from 1-4 pm. We invite you to come and meet and greet the artists, enjoy a complimentary dessert buffet and beverages, and support our local art community. Works are already being hung in the studio; come in and enjoy a sneak peek!

Sunny, with a high of 48 and low of 29 degrees. Sunny during the morning, clear in the afternoon and evening,
I have to commend the Saline City manager and engineer for keeping their cool and for their professionalism during the three hour Mill Pond Dam town hall meeting.
I think what's insulting is that the city is bloating the numbers to bolster their case.
Logically, the dam has no practical use. Of course, it's going to cost more. Of course, there's a level of risk there. Of course, over some period of time, it's going to cost more to maintain than a stream.
Life cycle cost analysis is certainly appropriate when considering new assets, but it may not be as appropriate when evaluating existing assets.
