Steven and Jillian Breneman are continuing to fund raise for all the ongoing expenses of the Diabetic Alert Dog(DAD) for their young son Trace. The next one will be February 21, 2015 at the Newsong Community Church in Tecumseh (see the flyer for details). Read the previous story here but in addition to the DAD itself there is many ongoing costs that need addressed.
The fundraiser is a benefit dinner/silent auction with a 50/50 raffle, children's activities, and hopefully a full crowd to help us not only raise money, but to celebrate Trace's 3rd birthday! Trace will be turning 3, on February 17th. Since this is his first birthday since diagnosis, we figured we would celebrate it as part of a fundraiser for his Diabetic Alert Dog (DAD). While we were successful at reaching our initial goal of $25,000 via gofundme, we are still fundraising. The DAD itself costs $25,000, however we hope to purchase pet insurance which can range from $500-$2,000 a year. Any extra funds in the account set up for Traces dog at PNC (Diabetic Alet Dog for Trace) will be strictly for the dog and any costs that comes with it ie-vet bills, dog food, pet insurance, etc. Steven and I are also seeking donations for items towards the silent auction, so if you know of anyone or any businesses that would be willing to donate, please let us know!
