Downtown Concert for Cowboys and Cowgirls
What: Modern Day Drifters Play the Summer Music Series
When: Thursday, 7 p.m.
Where: South Ann Arbor Street, downtown Saline
Why: Come see all your friends (and make new ones) in downtown Saline as the Modern Day Drifters play a free concert in Downtown Saline. Their brand of country music is new, young and exciting. Saline Main Street is giving away 100 cowboy hats at the concert to promote the Oct. 26 Wicked Kickin' Hoedown. As always, artists from Two Twelve Arts Center will be downtown providing chalk for kids who want to draw on the road.
Summer Evenings with the Rainforest Animals
What: Rainforest Fieldtrip at The Creature Conservancy
When: Thursday, 5 p.m.
Where: 4940 Ann Arbor-Saline Road,
Why: learn about fascinating animals from all over the world! In this first of five programs, you'll meet rainforest animals from South America, including Poco, a Two-toed Sloth, and five more! Watching Movies Under the Stars
What: Movie in the Park & Family Camp out
When: Friday, 6:30 p.m. until Saturday morning
Where: Mill Pond Park
Why: Imagine the old drive-in movie theaters, but without the cars. Now add a family camp out. The movie and activities are free. Cost is $10 per tent for campers, and that includes a free continental breakfast.
Sunday Night Concert at Mangiamo Italian Grill
What: Bill Bynum and Company Concert (Acoustic Routes Concerts)
When: 7:30 p.m. Sunday
Where: Mangiamo, 105 W. Michigan Ave., downtown Saline
Why: Crowd pleaser Bill Bynum is no stranger to Saline. Listen to him play at Saline's newest concert venue. Cover charge is $10.
