VOLLEYBALL: Saline Bounces Back to Sweep Bedford
The Saline volleyball team left the disappointment of Tuesday’s loss to Bedford where it belonged – in the past. Saline visited Pioneer and won 25-8, 25-20 and 25-21 Thursday night.
Mackenzie Marchildon led Saline with seven kills. Madison Whitfield and Angela Szuminski each had six kills against one error.
Sam Ricker (11 assists) and Zoey Ammon (9 assists) split time in the setters role.
Payton Cole led Saline at the service line with 14 points, including three aces. Hannah Turner had 11 points, including one ace. Kennedy Ulfig had two aces among her seven service points.
Defensively, the Hornets were led by Cole’s 5 digs. She also had 19 serve receptions. Turner had four blocks and Olivia Hesse had three blocks for Saline.
