Deep Freeze Descends on Saline Saturday Night
The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill watch that will be in effect from noon Saturday until Sunday morning. Temperatures are expected to drop below zero Saturday evening with gusty northwest winds producing wind chills as low as -25. The forecast calls for temperatures to bottom out near -5 or -10 Saturday night with wind chills as low as -30.
According to the alert, the bitterly cold wind chills can produce frost bit in 15 degrees or less and prolonged exposure to the cold air could lead to hypothermia.
