Saline Municipal Election Ballot Finalized, Five Days Left For School Board Candidates to File
The deadline for submitting petitions to the city clerk has passed and, barring a write-in candidacy, the candidates are set.
Mayor Brian Marl is being challenged by Christen Mitchell, who serves on Saline City Council.
In the race for three council seats, incumbents Dean Girbach and Janet Dillon are joined in the race by Heidi McClelland, Jennifer Harmount, Dawn Krause and Brian Cassise.
The deadline for the Board of Education race is 4 p.m., July 21.
So far, incumbent Paul Hynek is the only candidate for the single six-year term. There are two four-year terms. Incumbent Heidi Pfannes, the board president, is in the race with Brad Gerbe, Tom Frederick and Jennifer K. Miller.
