CORONAVIRUS: One Death, One Hospitalization in Washtenaw County Since Friday, Nine New Cases In Saline

One Washtenaw County has died and another was hospitalized since Friday, according to COVID-19 data updated by the Washtenaw County Health Department. Meanwhile, the local confirmed case count continues to grow in Saline.

The number of deaths increased to 108 and the number of hospitalizations increased to 388. The number of lab-confirmed cases increased by 52 to 1,699. The number of recoveries increased by 15 to 1,363.

The State of Michigan reported seven deaths Monday after reporting one new death Sunday. Case reporting tends to be lower over the weekend. 6,075 Michigan residents have died of COVID-19, so far.

Michigan has seen an increase in the number of hospital patients on ventilators. The number jumped from 98 Friday to 113 today. That number was 1,365 in mid-April. The number of inpatients has increased from 315 on July 2 to 388 July 13. That number was at nearly 4,000 in early April.
