Two people were killed in a crash in a single-vehicle crash in Freedom Township Friday evening, according to the Michigan State Police.
The crash occurred on Pleasant Lake Road near Parker Road at approximately 6:21 p.m., Friday.
Michael Winokur, 40, of Ann Arbor, and Iris Floyd, 90, of Ann Arbor, were killed, according to the Michigan State Police. Floyd resided in Travis Pointe.
According to a tweet from Michigan State Police, the cause of the crash remains under investigation, but a preliminary investigation indicates excessive speed may have been a factor.
