One Washtenaw County resident has died and two were hospitalized, according to COVID-19 data updated by the Washtenaw County Health Department Tuesday.
It's the first new death recorded in Washtenaw County since July 15. The number of hospitalizations increased to 412.
There were 17 new lab-confirmed cases, taking the total to 2,004. The number of recoveries increased by 44 to 1,668.
The number of cases in Saline's 48176 zip code was unchanged at 132. Look for more county data here.
Michigan reported 16 new deaths across the state, 11 of which were identified during a review of vital records. 6.170 Michigan residents have died from COVID-19 thus far. There were 669 new confirmed cases.
Below is the most recent hospitalization data, which shows inpatients declining for the fourth consecutive day - though it's still up from the lowest points. The number of patients in critical care increased by 11 to 208. That number has been between about 175 and 240 since early June - a far cry from the peak of 1,570 in April. The number of patients on ventilators increased by 18 to 131 - the highest number since June 16. Still, it's less than 10 percent of the 1,365 patients on ventilators in early April.
