There were no new deaths in COVID-19 data updated Thursday by the Washtenaw County Health Department. The death toll in Washtenaw County has been at 112 since July 31.
The number of hospitalizations increased by one to 432. The number of lab-confirmed cases increased by 27 to 2,295 while the number of recoveries increased by 22 to 2,003. There were no new confirmed cases in Saline's 48176 zip code, where the total remains 147.
COVID-19 made headlines across Michigan today because of the 1,121 new cases - the highest since May 14. Michigan reported 16 new deaths, with nine of them resulting from a review of vital records.
The state updated its hospitalization records. The number of patients in critical care fell by 15 to 171, while the number of patients on ventilators increased by four to 90.
Michigan Medicine reported six patients in ICU.
