Saline Area Social Service Reveals Needs List

Saline Area Social Service, which provides food assistance and other aid to local residents with low incomes, released its weekly needs list.    

Shoppers who wish to help their cause can buy and deliver the following:

• Green Bananas
• Apples
• Oranges
• Grapefruit
• Spam
• Mayo
• Stewed tomatoes
• Large containers of Shelf-Stable Juice

Donate goods at 224 W. Michigan Ave., in Saline. Hours for donations are Mondays, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to noon, and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Anne Cummings, executive director of Saline Area Social Service, said the community response to these lists has been crucial to keeping the food pantry stocked.
