228 DTE customers in Saline are without power after a storm blew through town early Friday afternoon.
The area affected is north of Michigan Avenue, between Mills Road and Ann Arbor Street. People began reporting power loss around 12:35 p.m., after a lightning strike rattled homes.
DTE does not yet have an estimate for restoration. A crew has been sent to Saline to work on the issue, according to the DTE website.
Another line of storms is expected to produce strong winds and brief heavy rainfall around 1:20 p.m., according to a special weather statement issued by the National Weather Service. Occasional cloud-to-ground lightning is expected. The hourly forecast calls for rain and thunderstorms throughout the day.

This did not have to happen. In past shutdowns, when we had experienced and knowledgeable people in government positions who actually cared about the American people, advance plans were made to ensure funding for this (and other key programs) was in place before the shutdown.
I totally agree what is wrong with Democrat party these days , headed by a bunch of radicals. They kicked out Robert Kennedy and installed Kamala Harris. Now NYC will get a SOCAILIST as mayor and what, that will kill the city. I certainly don't want my tax dollars going to fund SOCIALISM.
