Jerry Vanover, age 62 of Wayne, died unexpectedly on May 18, 2020.  He was born on July 27, 1957, in Iaeger, WV, the son of Christopher C. and Mary M. (Trail) Vanover, who preceded him in death.   He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Bonnie Vanover.

Jerry is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Browder and Pamela (Jack) Ceo; his nephew, John (Crystal) Ceo and niece, Christina (Andrew) Coppens and his beloved great-nephews, Jack and Ryan Ceo.  He is also survived by his significant friend Fred Shrum, his loving dog Ellie and many other family members and friends.

Jerry grew up in Milan, Michigan and graduated from Milan High School. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service, all spent at the Saline Plant.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors while camping, snowmobiling and watching NASCAR.  Jerry loved working with his hands and he was a gifted artist with a passion for pottery.  Until a few years ago, he was a member of the Art Center of Adrian.  Regardless of the activity, Jerry loved being around his family, friends and pets, all of which brought him much joy.  He will be missed very much by all.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Humane Society of Huron Valley, 3100 Cherry Hill Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, in memory of Jerry Vanover.

Please sign Jerry’s guest book and/or leave a memory.
