Saline Celtic Festival Officially Drops July Dates, Still Considering August Possibility
Mayor Brian Marl announced at Monday's city council meeting that the Saline Celtic Festival has given up on the original July dates for the annual festival.
City council previously approved Aug. 21-22 as fallback dates - though there's no guarantee it will happen then.
Marl reported the festival's executive committee is discussing plans and determining the feasibility of the festival.
Organizers were planning for the 25th edition of the festival - originally held to celebrate Saline's sister-city friendship with Brecon, Wales. It was to be held July 10-11.
