Services for Sylvia Weber, Lifelong Saline Resident, July 2 at St. Paul's

Sylvia Weber, age 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2019.  

She was the daughter of William and Lillian (Alber) Finkbeiner.  On April 21, 1944 she married Glenn Weber and he preceded her in death.  They lived on their farm on Austin Road until 1994 when they moved into Saline.  She was a mother and helped on the farm and returned to the work force, working at UofM Health Services from 1970 to her retirement. She lived in her home until earlier this year when she moved into Brecon Assisted Living.  She enjoyed feeding hummingbirds and goldfinches, reading and playing dominoes, euchre and bingo. She was a member of the Eastern Stars and an active member of St Paul United Church of Christ.

Sylvia is survived by her three daughters, Karen (John) Samford of Ann Arbor, Janice Mammel of Saline and Barbara (Robert) Wells of Denver, CO; three grandsons, Aaron (Chris) Bailey of Ann Arbor, Andrew (Katie) Mammel of Fond du Lac, WI and Michael (Janice) Mammel of Dexter; two step grandchildren Matthew Samford and Susanna (Andrew) Fraass;  great grandchildren Noah Bailey, Aiden Mammel, Kaylee and Charlie Mammel, and Jane and Alice Fraass; and several nieces and nephews. She was also survived by her sister Violet Harrison and preceded in death by siblings Lauren Finkbeiner, Louetta Dieterle and Doris Gordon.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Saline, MI. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Saline and a luncheon will be held at the church. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline between the hours of 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and again at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ and envelopes will be available at the funeral home and at the church.
