Saline City Council has postponed its May 6 meeting due to a lack of quorum.
Mayor Brian Marl and Councillors Linda TerHaar and Jack Ceo are in Brecon, Wales, visiting Saline's sister city. That left only four councillors for Monday's meeting. It's unclear who else is missing, but it could be Councillor Christen Mitchell, who announced on Facebook that her vehicle broke down in Buckley, Mich.
Council was scheduled to discuss:
- Budgets for the Rec Center and Saline Police Department.
- A "Party in the Park" event, hosted by Saline Community Church at Canterbury Park.
- A landscaping agreement with A&H Lawn Service for the planter boxes at the four corners.
- Parking enforcement.
- Substantial increases in water and sewer rates.
