Care Village....SHS Student & Parent Info Meetings (Jan. 15)
Over the past 15 months, Saline Schools has developed a relationship with the Middelburg Care Village in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Care Village is an orphanage/children’s home for up to 108 children, ages three to nineteen. Saline Schools has sent two shipping containers loaded with school furniture, books, toys, bicycles, musical instruments and more. We have also sent two teams of 26 and 12 people in 2018 to deliver love and friendship to the children and to assist with the quality of their lives and education.
We are now hoping to send a team of students from Saline High School to bring a new experience to the children at Care Village and to gain a global perspective for the students at Saline High School over spring break.
The trip will take place March 16 – 31, 2019. Depending upon airfares, the cost will be approximately $2,000 per person, which will include room and board.
