A York Township woman was tied up by a home invader who stole her belongings Dec. 19.
According to an alert sent out by Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Deputy Keith DeZwaan, at around 10:45 a.m., the woman was in her home on the 8000 block of Biscayne Court, off Bemis Road, when a white male rang the doorbell and knocked on her front door. The man then went to her rear door. He asked her if she’d seen his dog and then forced his way into her home. He tied her up and then stole items from the home, according to the report.
The suspect was described as a white male, in his early 30s, with light brown/blondish hair. He was 5’8-5’10 with a medium build. He was wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes. He may have been driving an older black car.
