A progress meeting was held with the contractor on August 30. The contractor has executed purchase orders with their suppliers, and the procurement of necessary equipment is underway. Work has started including excavation and concrete for the foundations for the odor control and generator. Construction of much of the duct work is scheduled to begin in October.
The contractor is on track to have the major odor control equipment at the WWTP operational in spring 2019. Some smaller equipment, such as the odor control equipment at the Southside Pump Station (located on Saline-Milan Road adjacent to Wilderness Park), may be functional in November dependent upon equipment delivery and weather.
Please contact Steve Wyzgoski, WWTP/WTP Superintendent with questions at 734.944.2003.

This did not have to happen. In past shutdowns, when we had experienced and knowledgeable people in government positions who actually cared about the American people, advance plans were made to ensure funding for this (and other key programs) was in place before the shutdown.
I totally agree what is wrong with Democrat party these days , headed by a bunch of radicals. They kicked out Robert Kennedy and installed Kamala Harris. Now NYC will get a SOCAILIST as mayor and what, that will kill the city. I certainly don't want my tax dollars going to fund SOCIALISM.
Is this even over with? No indication of the date or time.
