Marjorie Lula (Reasy) Gilroy, of Lemmon, South Dakota, passed away peacefully at age 91 on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in Saline, Michigan.
She was born on January 9, 1927 in Zap, North Dakota, to the late Marie Burrows Reasy and the late Ross M Reasy.
She was an agent/broker in the Real estate industry until retiring in 1988. Marjorie was the beloved wife of the late Leo J. "Bud" Gilroy. She was preceded in death by her son, Fr. Gregory J. Gilroy; brothers, Ross Reasy, Charles Reasy, and Donald Reasy; and sisters, Frances Evans and Irma Beebe.
Marjorie is survived by her sons, John R. (Pamela) Gilroy, William (Hannah) Gilroy, and Thomas M. Gilroy; sisters, Jean Sides and Kelly McIntyre; grandchildren, John Gilroy Jr., Michael Gilroy, Matai Gilroy, Cassandra Gilroy, and Bud Gilroy; and great-grandchildren, Emily Hope Gilroy, John Gilroy III, Talay Gilroy, Meghan Gilroy, Eric Gilroy, Hailey Gilroy, Kiara Gilroy, and Sean Gilroy.
She had many hobbies including being a volunteer at church, knitting, and Brecon retirement village activities. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Saline, MI. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Saline, MI with a visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. Interment will take place in Temecula, CA at a later date. Memorial donations in her name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital Charities and envelopes will be available at the church.
