MDOT reported today that 16 people died on Michigan roadways since last week, making a total of 336 this year. In addition, 121 more were seriously injured for a statewide total of 1,862 to date.
Compared to last year at this time there are 65 fewer fatalities and 192 fewer serious injuries.

This did not have to happen. In past shutdowns, when we had experienced and knowledgeable people in government positions who actually cared about the American people, advance plans were made to ensure funding for this (and other key programs) was in place before the shutdown.
