Caroline Florence (Staulter) Henry passed away peacefully with family at her side on Tuesday, March 16, 2018 at age 83.

Caroline was born August 23, 1934 to the late Ernest Raymond Staulter and Elvera Rose (Brandow) Staulter at home in New Boston, MI. On April 15, 1950, Caroline married the love of her life, the late James Melvin Henry, who passed away in January 2009. Caroline is survived by her children, James (Cheryl) Henry of Holloway, MI, Connie Skelton of Tecumseh, MI, Mary Beth (Mark) Leutheuser of Saline. Seven grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Tuberville of Denton, TX, Gina Morris of Adrian, MI, Bree (Daryl) Pilbeam of Saline, Tarah (Jason) Pence of Adrian, MI, Sara Skelton of Saline, Jameson Henry of Northport, MI, and Nathan Skelton of Sacramento, CA. Ten great grandchildren, Austin Henry of Ann Arbor, MI, Aubyn Henry of Saline, MI, Collin and Caroline Pilbeam of Saline, MI, Hannah, Holly, Hailey and Henry Pence of Adrian, MI, Braylon Thomas of Saline, MI, Chelsea Henry of Ypsilanti, MI.

One special great great grandson, Bentley Henry of Ann Arbor, MI. Caroline’s also survived by her one and only sibling, Charlotte Wade Cox of Tecumseh, MI. Along with two nieces, Linda Cox of Tecumseh and Laura (Randy) Feldkamp of Britton, MI with one nephew, Steve (Denise) Cox of North Port, FL. and great nephews and nieces. Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Kathy (Henry) Williams. Caroline worked in kitchens all her life, starting at the age of 14 peeling potatoes at the Britton Hotel to cafeteria work for Britton Schools to then owning C&C’s Cafe in Britton with her sister, Charlotte, and then many years at Tecumseh Country Club as head chef. Caroline enjoyed cooking, garage sales, word searches, music, country cruises and being around her grandkids. Per Caroline’s request, her body has been donated to U of M’s Anatomical Gift Program, with cremation to follow.
