At the March 13 meeting of the Saline Board of Education, the trustees heard a finance committee report and a policy committee report.
Trustee Dennis Valenti said the finance committee was going over items for the 2018-2019 school year and, while the foundation allowance was increasing, most of that gain would be “wiped out” by income in other areas being reduced, resulting in an essentially “flat budget.”
Board Vice President Paul Hynek noted that the policy committee was done with its first pass through the entire policy manual and needed to make a second pass through the whole manual going over items that had been updated. Hynek said he expected to “bring the whole enchilada to the board for approval” sometime in late spring or early summer.
