The Saline varsity girls basketball fell to Bedford, 46-39, Tuesday at Saline High School.
It was Saline's first loss in the SEC Red.
Saline led 14-7 after a defensively dominant first half - but the Kicking Mules awoke with 17 points in the third quarter and 22 more in the fourth quarter.
Ella Stemmer scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Saline. Brooke Bauer also scored 10 points. Nicole Sweetland scored nine points. Liz Sekerak (5 points), Erin Reilly (3 points) and Maddy Welch (2 points) also scored. Kelsey Alexander had eight rebounds and four steals.
Saline visits Huron Friday.
