Come dressed as a zombie or in your Halloween costume for the inaugural Trunk-or-Treat & Zombie Crawl in downtown Saline from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday. The event, presented by Saline Main Street, takes place rain or shine.
Groups from some of the local businesses will emerge as zombies and shamble to the Key Bank west parking lot, where there will be a DJ, hot chocolate and games. Kids are invited to travel from trunk to trunk collecting free goodies.
Up to 200 kids and their families are expected.
At 7:30 p.m., Dr. Rob Borer will announce the winners of the scarecrow contest.
At 7:45 p.m., Mark Hensel will announce the winner of the best decorated trunk (as per the voting of the kids).
Patchy rain nearby, with a high of 93 and low of 70 degrees. Sunny during the morning, thundery outbreaks in nearby for the afternoon, mist overnight.
Perhaps we are missing something here? The decision to not find a reasonable accommodation to interview Kelley seems short sighted and contrary to ensuring the best interests of the schools and our children are given top priority.
“In our view…” who are you speaking for here?
I’ll answer then - not everyone. As for the candidate, I agree that the onus is on her to make it to the meeting. Six other candidates have rearranged their schedules to attend, it is not a requirement to give special consideration. Giving her credentials and resume during public comment was a good idea.
