Acoustic Routes Concerts confirmed today that it will host two concerts at Stony Lake Brewing, 447 E. Michigan Ave. in Saline, this month – including the return of the Scottish folk trio North Sea Gas.

The next concert is Saturday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m., featuring The Potter’s Field, the folk/Americana/roots duo of Rochelle Clark and John Natiw.

The Potter's Field is known for poetic, gritty lyrics, close and powerful harmonies, a driving instrumental style (including acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, harmonica, percussion and the occasional kazoo) and an easy stage presence. Their music defies easy description. Harmoniously haunting. Deceptively simple. Painting portraits of real life on the canvas of listeners' hearts and minds with sepia undertones of edgy eeriness, poignant lyrics and bright splashes of toe-tapping energy.

The Brass Creek food truck, which specializes in street food that redefines street food will be parked outside Stony Lake from 5:30 pm - 9 pm.  From burgers to grilled cheese to fritters and beyond, they offer comfort food that pushes you out of your comfort zone. Comfortably.

Two weeks later, on September 30 at 8 p.m., sees the return to Saline of Scotland’s North Sea Gas.

Hailing from Edinburgh, this award-winning trio delivers traditional and self-penned material driven by three-part harmonies and wide range of instruments. Guitars, mandolin, fiddle, bouzouki, harmonica, whistles, bodhrans, banjo and good humor are all part of the entertainment.
