The suddenly healthy Saline varsity girls lacrosse team defeated Plymouth 10-7 as playoffs began at Plymouth Friday.
Saline senior Quinn Alexis scored five goals to pace the Saline offense. Emma Peoples and Abby Morton each scored twice. Grace Livesey and Kaleigh Riggs each scored a goal.
Maddie Siedlik made seven saves.
Morton, Peoples and Emily Hill combined to win 14 of 18 faceoffs.
“The defense stood tall by creating key turnovers which were instrumental down the stretch,” coach Eric Boyer said.
Saline plays Ann Arbor Pioneer at 7 p.m., May 31 at Novi High School. The winner advances to the Region 1 semifinal to play either Novi or Northville.
