The City of Saline and Saline Main Street invite you to the Midway Construction Celebration!

Thursday September 8th, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on

South Ann Arbor Street in Downtown Saline Main Street

SALINE, Mich., (September 1, 2016) –  The City of Saline and Saline Main Street are hosting a Mid-Way Celebration on Thursday September 8, 2016 from 11am-1pm on S. Ann Arbor St!  (S. Ann Arbor St. will be closed for this event.) Come out and see the new and improved downtown streetscape while enjoying a free box lunch (including sandwich, chips, apple, cookie and a bottle of water) on us! Make sure to come downtown to help us celebrate being half way through construction and please continue to Pave it Forward throughout the entire construction project. 

Remember that the Pave it Forward raffle continues each month! “Shop local, shop often, and win BIG!”  That is the theme of the Pave It Forward Raffle organized by Saline Main Street and the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce.  It’s a way that many local businesses are saying “Thank you!” to their customers who choose to shop in Saline and continue to visit our businesses throughout the 2016 construction road and streetscape improvement project.  We have already given away $1,250 dollars to winners from June until September. Shoppers have an opportunity to win $250 for each of the remaining months of October, November and $1,000 at the Grand Prize Drawing in December. All drawings are the first Thursday of each month at the Leather Bucket Alley on S. Ann Arbor Street.

There are many reasons to ‘shop local,’ but the following statistic really proves it:

  • For every $1.00 spent at a locally owned business, $0.73 remains in the local economy.
  • For every $1.00 spent at a non-locally owned business, $0.43 remains local.
  • For every $1.00 spent online, $0.0 remains local.

    For every $10 spent, shoppers will be given one ticket that will be entered into the drawing for the monthly drawings.  Receipts must be redeemed for tickets by 5:00 pm on the first Wednesday of each month.  Drawings are scheduled on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at Leather Bucket Alley on S. Ann Arbor Street in Downtown Saline.

    Participating Saline businesses Include:  Brecon Grille, Carrigan Café, Cobblestone Rose, Dan’s Downtown Tavern, mac’s Acadian Seafood Shack, Mangiamo Italian Grill, Maureen’s Designs, New Era Chiropractic, Perry’s Tuxedo, Pineapple House, Resale Boutique, Saline Automotive, Saline Optometry, Salt Springs Brewery, Workout1, City Limits Diner and Smoke BBQ.
