Gallery: Haleigh Cummings, Adam Head Crowned at Saline Homecoming

Haleigh Cummings, daughter of Tammy and Mike Cummings, was crowned Saline Homecoming Queen and Adam Head, son of Kelly and Eric Head, was introduced as Mr. Pretty Legs at Hornet Stadium Friday.

Cummings is vice-president of the Class of 2016, captain of the cross country and track teams and a member of the National Honor Society and Interact Club.

“I was so surprised. I had no I was going to win,” Cummings said. “My class is so supportive and I’m really happy.”

Cummings plans to study nursing or engineering at Michigan State University.

Head plays for the basketball and soccer teams. He’s a member of the National Honor Society and has worked as a youth camp counselor. He also volunteers for Saline Area Social Service and Love Thy Neighbor.

“Mr. Pretty Legs is a very unique Saline tradition and I’m honored to be Mr. Pretty Legs and part of the homecoming court,” Head said.

Head plans to study engineering next year.

The Homecoming Court, which included Queen finalists are Sara Foley, Julia Jaske and Emily Lance and Mr. Pretty Legs finalists Max Duong, Martin Hansknecht, Tommy Lucas and Austin Monroe.

Class reps were:

  • Regan Barsch and Luke Humphrey, Class of 2017
  • Kiana Amadi, Kingley Amadi and Shane Trainor, Class of 2018
  • Riley Jones and Nolan Wright, Class of 2019

The Class of 2017 won the float building contest with their float “SHS Victory – Pillage Pioneer.” The theme for floats was “ancient civilizations.”
