Relive the Songs 1970s With Varsity Blues
For a group of kids too young have known 1990s, the cast from Varsity Blues skillyfully used song and dance to bring the 1970s back to life.
Dressed in bell-bottom jeans, tie-dyed shirts and polyester disco jumpsuits, Varsity Blues premiered "That 70s Show" Thursday night at Saline High School. School-aged kids, from elementary school children to recent high school graduates, performed disco classics, songs by Led Zeppelin, Billy Joel, Simon and Garfunkel, and more. They also performed in skits from 1970s television shows such as MASH, and the Addams Family. One skit featured old School House Rock songs that were commonly heard during Saturday morning cartoons.
The show continues Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. at Saline High School. For more on Varsity Blues, celebrating its 30th anniversary, click here.
