Saline Sees Red as Super Moon Rises
It is called a "super moon" because it is closer to earth in its elliptical orbit.
It is called a "blood moon" because of the color derived from sunlight diffracting around the edges of the earth's atmosphere. (All eclipses are blood moons)
It is called a "harvest moon" because it is the full moon closest to the equinox and is a signal that it is time to harvest crops.
It is also the fourth of a tetrad of lunar eclipses that have occurred about every 6 months for the past two year.
