Salvation Army in Need of Toys

Most people know the Salvation Army of Washtenaw County for their Red Kettles. These kettles that collect donations are used to support local families, not just during the holidays, but throughout the entire year.

Put a present under someone’s tree today. And a roof over someone’s head tomorrow.

But this year, the Salvation Army is still working hard to make sure every family who signed up for holiday assistance has gifts for their children to open on Christmas morning. Now through Friday, December 16th, the Salvation Army is collecting new, unwrapped toy donations at various locations throughout the community, including California Pizza Kitchen, located at Briarwood Mall.

And if making a monetary donation is easier, the Salvation Army is asking that you consider dropping your extra change into a Red Kettle.

The donations they collect during the holiday season not only help provide gifts to children who would otherwise go without, but they also help the Salvation Army provide food, shelter, and utility assistance to those who need it most every day of the year.

Brighten Christmas morning. And the hardest nights for hardworking families.

Every dollar dropped into a red kettle helps give local families the Christmases they deserve and the yearlong support they so desperately need.

This year, the Salvation Army is asking you to help them carry the spirit of Christmas throughout the year.
