Join Us for a Celebration of 20 Years of Fair Trade in Ann Arbor!
Ann Arbor, MI — September 23, 2024 — In recognition of 20 impactful years as part of the Ann Arbor community, Ten Thousand Villages invites you to an in-store gathering on Sunday, October 13 from 5 to 8 PM. This milestone event will highlight key moments of our journey, celebrate the artisans we support, and position us to advance fair trade for the next 20 years!
Since opening our doors in October 2004 on Main Street, Ten Thousand Villages has proudly served as the first fair trade, non-profit handicraft retailer in the city. Our success is thanks to our dedicated supporters—friends, volunteers, donors, and loyal customers—who believe in our mission to ensure living wages and uplift crafting traditions for artisans across the globe.
This open-house style gathering is designed for all ages, so bring your family and friends! Here are some event highlights:
- Guest speakers sharing stories of impact
- Artisan and product showcases
- Promotional sales and discounts
- Raffles with prizes
- Light refreshments including hors d'oeuvres and drinks
