At least two council members are opposed to throwing big money at the Rec Center.
They were not happy when the rec center feasibility study came back, and instead of answering the question about whether it's feasible for the city to keep operating the Rec Center, the study just recommended spending money.
When will this practice of giving tax breaks to businesses end. One of the main reasons for attracting businesses is to increase tax revenues yet communities continue this practice of tax deferral, to an entity with minimal exposure, and negates the very reason for attracting the business. Makes no sense.
