Patchy rain nearby, with a high of 79 and low of 56 degrees. Don't forget your umbrella! Partly Cloudy during the morning, clear in the afternoon and evening, mist overnight.
Wow. This is deeply concerning and the lack of transparency is sketchy to say the least. I must commend your reporting on this matter Tran. Job well done. Plessse keep us updated on this issue,
This is very sloppy reporting. There is much speculation and conjecture here, but very little substance.
First, it is not a matter of "refusing" - public officials can not legally disclose material or discussions conducted in closed or executive sessions.
You didn't want to address any of the claims in person, but only want to defend yourself behind a screen...
Fire Chief Sperle was the one to correctly point out that the downtown festivals should not be held in the parking lot behind Benny’s due to fire risk (including a history of fire in that area). Considering the city’s attempts to put a community meeting space downtown, this seems incredibly concerning.
Please note, the fire chief’s legitimate concerns were in regards to closing and blocking South Ann Arbor Street, not the parking lot.
Yet more secrecy and deception from Saline City Council and Government. Council and city management continue to do as they please with no regard to public safety or opinion. They are railroading the Fire Department just like they did to SPD.
