Free, 6:30-8:30am. Reverend Kimberly Secrist Ashby will be available for anyone in the community wishing to experience Ash Wednesday on February 14th. Simply pull onto Hall St and follow the cones reserving traffic for the imposition of ashes.

Prefer to do the more traditional route to get your ashes? Visit the historic sanctuary to experience  Ash Wednesday Worship 11am or 7pm.

Ash Wednesday begins a 40-day season of fasting, reflection and penance culminating in Holy Week and the Easter Sunday commemoration of Jesus’ Resurrection.  Ashes are recognized as a symbol of mortality, according to Rev. Arn Panula. “It gives us a profound sense that we are mortal, and Ash Wednesday is a reminder of that.” (PCUSA.org)
