More about your entertainers:
Jason Gilleran has been part of Detroit’s thriving comedy scene since 2017. Along with his stand up comedienne wife Robyn, they are Hard G Comedy, and run shows in metro Detroit and the Thumb. They have toured throughout the U.S. as co-headliners. He has opened for national headliners John Heffron, Rocky LaPorte, Brian Scolaro, Jay Jurden, Gianmarco Soresi, and has been in the Traverse City Comedy Festival 2023 and 2024. He most recently featured at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle, and calls comedy his “hobsession” but his day job as a Urologist means he’s seen a lot of things he can’t unsee. Look for his comedy page on Facebook (Hard G Comedy), X (@gilleran_man72) Instagram (@hardgcomedy) and show updates on hardgcomedy.com.
Detroit is now Amber Maeda's home where she is highly involved with her local scene as a producer at The Independent Comedy Club, an actress at Planet Ant Theatre as well as writing a web series with the PA film team. Her stories of her Asian family upbringing and witty one-liners make her a relatable crowd-favorite. Her dark humor is juxtaposed with her happy-go-lucky delivery, warming the hearts of audiences all over!
And your HEADLINER, Nicole Melnyk, is a Midwest based comedian. She opened for Kristin Key at the City Opera House in Traverse City. She's opened for Hannah Berner at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, The Royal Oak Music Hall and the Saginaw Temple Theatre. She opened for Kyle Kinane at Mark Ridleys Comedy Castle. She opened for Juno Birch and Esther Povitski at the Majestic Theatre. Nicole has featured at Funny Bones, Heliums and Hilarities in St. Louis, Kansas City, Indianapolis and Ohio.
And, finally, your host, Shelly Smith, who has been producing comedy and music events in Michigan for two decades and almost a year at The 109! She is the host and MC of the long running Ebirds and Friends Holiday Show and 50 First Jokes (coming up on January 2nd), as well as the host and producer of the Reads and Weeds podcast.

I'm on record, I could care less how you intend to vote! This gives me motivation to vote Mike Rodgers for US SENATE....as for govenor I'll vote John James. As for the Muslim taking over the democrat party no surprises there at all they are totaly lost. My prediction is Stevens will beat the Muslim.
How do you feel about Dr Oz then?
I’ll be on the record then of stating that you publicly announced that you’re a racist bigot. No idea why you chose to out yourself here but hey, you do you.
Libby are you hiding you true feelings? If I'm a racist your a BIGOT!
Not ionterested in your liberal BS.
Doctor Oz well of course he is a WIZARD , he may make you disappear. Don't forget to VOTE Libby, today is the day. Rodgers loves your choice FYI, he is the next SENATOR from MICHIGAN .
Sunny, with a high of 89 and low of 55 degrees. Sunny in the morning, clear overnight.
Hard pass on summerfest. BOYCOTT.
They also sponsor Salty summer sounds. What a shame this all has become
I have to admit, I was surprised to learn that missionary schools are still considered an appropriate model in 2026.
I’d love to comment. Too bad it doesn’t matter.
So much for a “close loop system”.
Our elected officials, local, county and state have failed us.
Thanks to our friends at the saline chamber and saline Main Street. For allowing this and letting these criminals sponsor downtown events
The "Sinking" fund that never sinks. The "CARES" fund that is just school tax in disguise.
Seems to me that the CARES Fund ignores the Recreation Center? Why? When the Fund was created in 1999 it included the Rec.Center? Everyone who attends Saline Schools and their neighbors all get discounted Memberships but pay no tax dollars to support it? That feels wrong to me.
Hey there Dave. I just want to provide some clarifying information. I wrote a letter of support to the Cares committee a little over a year ago on behalf of a grant application submitted by Saline Rec Center. The grant was approved.
My wife and I have been there 3 times already. The selection is amazing and the staff is extremely helpful. Can’t wait to go back again!!!
