Keith, Ehrman and Hurbis Lead Saline to 2nd at MISCA Meet

Saline’s boys swim and dive team placed second at the MISCA meet, held at Eastern Michigan University Friday and Saturday.

Saline finished with 163 points. Holland West Ottawa won with 246. SEC Red Rivals Pioneer (3rd, 162 points) and Skyline (5th, 142 points) weren’t far behind the Hornets.

Jacob Ehrman, second in the 200 freestyle, Daniel Keith, second in the 200 IM, and Dakota Hurbis, third in diving, were Saline’s top performers.

Saline began the day with a great race in the 200 yard medley, finishing .15 seconds behind the winning team from Dexter. Keith, Matthew Lau, Ryan Klemptner and Jacob Ehrman finished the race in 1:38.45.

Jacob Ehrman was second in the 200 freestyle (1:42.76), finishing behind Pioneer’s Kai Williams.

Keith finished the 200 IM in second (1:54.7), behind Grosse Pointe South’s Jacob Montague.

Hurbis was third in the diving with 499.65. Holland West Ottawa was first with 504.3 and Huron’s Will Brenner was second in 500.9. Saline junior Alex Calder was fifth with 453.35.

Keith swam well in the 100 fly, finishing fifth in 52.35. Jacob Ehrman was fourth in the 500 free, finishing in 4:40.8.

The Saline 200 free relay team of Keith, Lau, Klemptner and Jacob Ehrman was seventh in 1:29.56.
