Nancy Zahn, Mother of Four, Volunteered at Saline Hospital for More than 20 Years

Nancy Lou Zahn, age 83, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. She was born November 21, 1929, in Redford Township, the daughter of Carl R. and Estelle (Merrion) Groth.

On July 29, 1950 she married Dean William Zahn and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2010. Nancy was a twenty plus year volunteer at the Saline Hospital and the gift shop manager for many years.

Survivors include two sons Michael D. (Judith) Zahn of Lisle, IL, Matthew W. (Sharon) Zahn of Saline, and a daughter Lise C. Zahn of Suttons Bay. Other survivors include four grandchildren Andrew, Aryn, Kate, and Lauren, and one brother Richard Carl Groth. She was preceded in death in addition to her husband by her parents, and a daughter Nina Lou Zahn. Cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at 11:00 a.m.. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline, with the Rev. Dr. Martha A. Brunell, officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brecon Village, Saline.
