City of Saline: Sludge Hauling May Create Odor Near the Wastewater Treatment Plant
Notice a foul smell in the air on the south side of the City of Saline. It could be coming from the wastewater treatment plant.
According to the city's social media accounts, the city's wastewater treatment plant began having the plant's sludge hauled away and a "slight wastewater smell may occur over the next couple days."
Sludge is the solid residual produced as a result of wastewater treatment.
