CORONAVIRUS: 1 Death, 9 Hospitalizations in Washtenaw County This Week

The Washtenaw County Health Department reported its first COVID-19-related death since July 31 in data updated on its website Friday afternoon.

There have now been 113 deaths in Washtenaw County since the virus struck. The number of hospitalizations increased by three to 435. 15 new lab-confirmed cases brought the total to 2,310. There were six new recoveries, increasing the total to 2,009.

Saline's 48176 zip code saw no new cases and the number remained at 147.

The State of Michigan reported 11 new deaths, bringing the state total to 6,300. The state also reported 748 new cases.

In Michigan's hospitals, the number of people in critical care held steady at 171. The number of patients on ventilators was down by three to 87.
